February 2020 Iota Nus

The Iota Nus

February 2020

Thank you for staying connected with the Iota Nu chapter of Delta Sigma Pi by subscribing to our monthly newsletter! Please feel free to forward this email to anyone else who would like to remain updated with our chapter.

Before the semester began, Connor Mayer (IN 1402) attended the 2020 Presidents' Academy in St. Louis, MO. He networked with brothers from across the country and learned valuable information about furthering the Fraternity.

Dean Kerby

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Debra Kerby. She dedicated nearly 25 years of service to Delta Sigma Pi. We will forever remember Dean Kerby for her love, service, and pursuit of excellence. Her obituary can be found here.

Collegiate Brother Spotlight

Lilia Fuentes (IN 1432) is a sophomore Accounting and Management double major with a Spanish for the Professions minor from St. Louis, MO. Lilia is our current VP of Community Service and is also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Next summer, she will work for a second summer with the Boeing Company as a Procurement Financial Analyst in Everett, Washington. Lilia speaks fluent Spanish and hopes to find a career after graduation where she can use her ability to translate to help other Spanish speakers. Lilia enjoys reading, watching rom-coms, and eating at Mi Casa and Take Root Cafe. We are happy to have her in our chapter!

Special Recognition

Brothers Mitchell Kronsbein (IN 1415) and Jessica Riegel (IN 1426) were recognized for their outstanding leadership last semester. Kronsbein received our Coordinator of the Semester award for his work as our Pi Coordinator, and Riegel received our Executive Member of the Semester award for her work as our Chancellor. Congratulations!

FanTAXtic Case National Competition

Congratulations to brothers AJ Clever (IN 1422), Amanda Kapp (IN 1413), and Emily Buerck (IN 1407) for representing Truman in the FanTAXtic Case National Competition in Dallas.
