Summer Spotlight Edition

The August Iota Nus focuses on what the current brothers of Iota Nu have been up to over the summer!

 

Hannah Burke

Hanna Burke, a senior Health Science and Management double major, interned at the National Coordination Center in Washington D.C. this summer. Subcontracted by Cerner, the National Coordination Center is working on the VA electronic health record modernization. On her last day, Hanna got to participate in an honor flight which she says put in perspective the work she did over the summer.

 

Kayla Decker

Kayla Decker, a junior double major in Marketing and Graphic Design, interned at MAKE Digital Group, a digital marketing agency in Kansas City this summer. As a part of the MAKE team, she learned about social media strategy, email marketing, content marketing, and SEO. She enjoyed working alongside a team of talented individuals and hanging out with the two dogs in the office.

 

Haley Meissen & Amber Smith

Haley Meissen and Amber Smith, May graduates, recently attended a hot air balloon festival in Des Moines, Iowa. Both now have positions at Keyot, a women-owned consulting firm in Des Moines.

 

Connor Mayer

Connor Mayer, a senior Finance major and Economics minor, interned with Boeing in Philadelphia this summer. During his time with Boeing, Connor won the intern case competition focusing on the vertical lift product line.

Kara Luechtefeld

Kara Luechtefeld, a senior double major in Marketing and Management with a minor in Spanish for the Business Professions, worked at Boeing this summer in supply chain within Phantom Works. She was able to analyze lead times, contact buyers to help with lead times, and develop useful Excel dashboards for managers in her department. She closed out around 100 contracts for the company!

 

Caleb Bruemmer, Kelly Decker, & Kayla Decker

This summer, juniors Caleb Bruemmer (Accounting, Finance, and Management), Kelly Decker (Health Science and Management), and Kayla Decker (Marketing and Graphic Design) studied abroad in Croatia, Slovenia, and Italy. The trip, called Europe in Transition, was led by professors Jason Lin and Jane Sung and explored developments in the European Union.

 

Curtis Brownfield

Curtis Brownfield, a junior Marketing major, worked on the Grounds Crew for the Kansas City Royals this summer. Check out his Royals-themed letters!

 

Aren Buresh

Aren, a senior Marketing and Management double major with an English minor, worked as an outreach intern at Gorilla 76 in St. Louis this summer. She worked in digital marketing, handling tasks such as link building, cold email outreach, blogging, and general SEO.

 

Legacy of Excellence Fund
